In the last few weeks, hundreds, maybe thousands, of people received seeds in the mail. They came from China. Agronomists across the country were horrified. What if the seeds contained invasive species, what if they carried a contaminate that would hurt crop production? What, what, what in the world? People were urged to turn the seeds over to their local authorities. “Don’t flush them, don’t throw them in the garbage and for all that is decent… DON’T plant them.” Weeks have passed and the thought for now is that the mailings are part of an Internet brushing scam (that’s bad, too…..)
