This month the art world convened in Miami. One of the hot topics discussed was how blockchain technologies will impact the art market. My brother Adam Lindemann hosted The Art of Blockchains conference at the Faena Forum on Tuesday, December 4th. During the course of the day, thought leaders in both art and tech offered their perspectives on the change underway, what is to come, what it means, and how we should prepare for it. Panelists included Jim McKelvey, co-founder of Square: Dan Long of ARTBLX; New Museum Director Lisa Phillips; artists Simon Denny, Leo Villareal and Ian Cheng; and more than a dozen other leaders in both sectors.
