June 2018 – 50 years ago, the U.S. Government banded together to pass the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. In honor of the milestone, George Lindemann, an avid conservationist, Cumberland County resident, and Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s 2017 Conservationist of the Year writes as a guest columnist in the Knoxville News Sentinel about the importance of conserving Tennessee’s waterways.
